Let’s Stick Together!
Ongoing Throughout the Winter
Each time you sign out an item from the main floor circulation desk, receive a set of stickers to add to our stickerboard! This is a fun, collaborative effort to fill in an initially blank image with stickers. The result is a colorful picture that is slowly revealed as the stickers are put in place. Have fun!

Relax and Rejuvenate - In Person
Saturday, January 15 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - *This program has been postponed until Saturday, March 19 at 10:30 a.m.*
Join Dawn Sulmasy for a mindful morning designed to recalibrate our bodies and refresh our spirits after the holiday season. Come dressed to relax with an aromatherapy and crystal-guided meditation, inspirational journaling, simple yoga postures, and healthy food tips for gentle detoxification. Book Talk with Local Author Ted Flanagan - Virtual
Thursday, January 27 at 6:30 p.m
Join us for a discussion with local author Ted Flanagan about his new book Every Hidden Thing, a novel that explores big city politics, nasty secrets, a dirty cop, and a deranged sociopath deep within the urban jungle. Copies of the book, some of which was written at the Beaman Library, will be available to borrow. Ted is a paramedic and former daily newspaper reporter from central Massachusetts. Saturday, February 5 from 10:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m.
Decorate mason jars and bud vases using paint pens, paint, and alcohol ink. All materials will be supplied. However, if you have a plain white vase, plate, or tea cup at home that you would like to jazz up, please bring it along. To register for this program, please email beaman@cwmars.org by January 29.

Stress Reduction and Relaxation Yoga with Carol McGuiggan - In Person (Registration opens February 1) Person practicing yoga in front of foliage

Experience the benefits of gentle yoga stretches, calming breath techniques, and the value of meditation. Dress for movement. Bring your yoga mat or a thick towel. Please email beaman@cwmars.org to register in advance as space is limited.

Mindful Meditation with Carol McGuiggan - In Person (Registration opens February 1)
Wednesday, February 16 at 6:30 p.m.
This class is open to all individuals wishing to develop inner awareness, health, and well-being. The practice will include techniques to improve concentration, clarity of mind, relaxation, and promote self-awareness. Bring your yoga mat or sitting cushion and a receptive attitude. Kick off school vacation week with the Trivia Brothers and an evening of trivia! To participate, teens and adults can form teams of 3 to 6 participants and then email jwright@cwmars.org to register. The winning team will earn unlimited bragging rights!

Winter Reading Challenge

Read for a Better World Beanstack Logo

From January 1 to January 31, Beaman Library is participating in Beanstack’s Annual Winter Reading Challenge, sponsored by Lerner Publishing Group. "Read for a Better World" encourages readers of all ages to explore diversity, empathy, and action through literature. Our community has unlimited access to Lerner’s “Read for a Better World” themed books for the month of January! Visit our Beanstack page to learn more and register for the Winter Reading Challenge. Prizes will be awarded to readers of all ages at the end of the month!
