Any person who is registered with the Beaman Memorial Public Library
can borrow materials according to the following policies:
Loan Periods
All library items (except those listed below):
3 weeks
Museum passes
1 day loan
Circulating Encyclopedias
7 day loan
New Adult Fiction Books (When these new fiction
titles are over 400 pages, the loan is extended to 3 weeks)
7 day loan
Feature Videos and DVDs (Non-fiction videos and DVDs are loaned for 3
weeks)
7 day loan
Loan Limits
Newly registered patrons may check out a maximum of five items
Patrons may borrow up to 4 items on a single subject
Patrons may check out 5 videos or DVDs per family
The library reserves the right to impose more stringent borrowing limits and loan periods on specific high demand items such as seasonal items or class project materials
Non-Circulating Items
Currend and special edition issues of magazines
Newspapers
Reference items
Items from the West Boylston Room
Audio-visual equipment intended for programming
Historical artifacts or any other library property not purchased for loaning to the public
Please report damaged items to library staff.
It is strongly recommended that patrons present their library cards to check out library materials. This helps assure accuracy of library transactions and protects patron privacy. Patrons may be required to present some form of identification in order to circulate materials without their library card.
