Library advocates play a key role in educating our communities about why libraries and librarians are essential in an information society. The time is for action is now!

MA Advocacy

Libraries are in danger of loosing funding on both the state and federal levels this year. Please engage your state legislators to encourage them to increase funding to line items affecting libraries and Interlibrary loan delivery. Federal Advocacy

Please ask your Representative to support LSTA and IAL funding. Members of the House need to hear from their constituents before April 3rd. Please call your Representative and ask them to sign both the LSTA and the IAL “Dear Appropriator” letters our champions have circulated, otherwise funding for LSTA and IAL will  be cut or eliminated next year.
