Endowment Gift Challenge!

Recently, the community raised $9,000 for the Friends of Beaman Library Endowment at its recent Wine Tasting event bringing the Endowment total to just under $100,000 in just five years. The Endowment is managed for the Library by the Greater Worcester Community Foundation where the gifts safely grow and work towards stabilizing funding for the Library into the future. We have now received an anonymous Challenge Giftt o benefit the Endowment. We are looking for people who recognize the value of stable funding into the future for the library and who are up for the challenge! The matching gift will double your pledge.

We have a day for giving thanks and two for getting deals.#GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back to our communities. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, business, community centers around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. For more information you can go to It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can.

If you or your business would consider the Library’s Endowment for end-of-year giving, that donation will help support our efforts to nourish minds, change lives, and build community.
