– a 40% increase in
attendance.
404 children also participated
in the 2007 Summer Reading
Program.
Librarians answered over
5,000 reference questions,
in person, on the phone, and
via email.
There were about 80 uses
of the public Internet computers
in the library each week.
Staff registered 472 more
borrowers – an increase
of 8%.
West Boylston residents
borrowed 2,732 items from
other libraries across the
state and library staff sent
out 1,873 items to other communities.
This represents a 9% increase
in activity.
ILL staffing went from
20.5 hours per week to 9 hours
per week – a 56% reduction.
Over 100 persons volunteered
1,657 hours of service to
the library.
The library budget is 1.78%
of the Municipal “pie”.
West Boylston residents
spent $7.55 per person for
materials for the library
while checking out about 8
items per person.

through using library resources.
